We have practice saturday at 11-12 at the Utah Soccer Training Center which is at Utah State Fairgrounds 200 N. 1000 W. Free facility time.

Next indoor game is on Tuesday next week!

So there will be no game this weekend for Rage.  They have posted our game vs. Utah Glory Red for Tuesday November 19th at 6:15 p.m.  Make sure you continuously check the times as they have been known to change.  Great job on that last game and keep in mind our tournament is just around the corner.

Last Coerver is today!

Due to weather and daylight savings, this week (today) will be the last week for Coerver training for this fall. Rob Karas will add an additional week in the spring season to make up for the final week. Please make sure no one gets dropped off or left at Bennion next week.

Practice this week and Indoor Soccer!

Rage you guys rock! I missed a great game on Saturday.  Well congratulations on securing your position in Division 1 you definitely belong in this division and your play is only improving. Well as the fall soccer season ends, the indoor soccer season begins.  So practices are still going to happen as we don't want you to lose those great skills you have been learning.  So here is this week's schedule:

• Monday: No practice.

• Wednesday: Practice at Diamond Ridge Elementary 6-7:30 p.m.

• Thursday: Coerver Training 5-6 p.m.  (next week should be the last of Coerver)

If you haven't already registered for indoor at Soccer City, you need to do that soon.  Remember it is only $10 per player (thanks to Chad, Caleb's dad).  If you need instructions for that, call either me, Justin or Jeri.  Thanks.

Indoor Soccer!

Below is a link that leads to a registration form for Soccer City, which is where we will be starting our indoor season, potentially as early as Nov. 5th.  Each player will need to have this filled out prior to our first game.  Thanks to another generous donation from Caleb's dad Chad, the cost of this will only be $10 per player (thank you Chad!).  As you fill in the information the following fields will need to be input:

Hang in there for a busy ride Rage! This is our last week and we need to make sure we give it our all to maintain our division. We need every bit of effort to make this happen.

Coerver training has changed from 5:15 to 6:15 pm to 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for the remainder of the training sessions.

EVERY player from the club will be featured on the field at the match – please wear your Razzia jersey to represent. This is RSL’s last regular season game and will be Fan Appreciation Night, they will be offering players/families/friends a special discount offer of $15/ticket (Reg. $25).

Don't procrastinate book your room soon for Dixie Cup in St. George.

A lot of us have already booked our rooms for the Dixie Cup at Crystal Inn, in St. George.  Not a bad deal as it includes a hot breakfast and has a nice heated outdoor pool for mid $80's per night.  The rooms are filling up fast.  As of now I know of four players that are booked at that hotel (to include Torin).  Any hotel is fine, but just giving you guys the heads up if you want to find something pretty decent for the money.  Again the dates for the tournament are November 29-30 but you would want to book your hotel on November 28th as the games will start that next morning.

Our first game will be in Saratorga Springs this Saturday, it is at 99 North Thunder Blvd. at Vista Heights Jr. High.  For away games you will wear white top/white socks but "always" bring both red and white top.   You will be playing Utah Surf (not the same premier team you've played twice already).  Game is at 10:30 a.m. so plan accordingly to make sure you're at least 40 minutes early (9:50 a.m.).

Rage News!

Hey Rage! Don't take today's losses too hard.  This gives the coaches an opportunity to see what to work on at practice and improve.  Each and every one of you played really hard and we appreciate that.  Keep in mind you guys are playing Premier teams and those games you played were winnable. Let's move forward and stronger.  Parents, thank you for your support it means a lot for you to entrust us training your kids.

With that, your season schedule is now out! Your first game will be Saturday August 24th.  It looks like all your games will be on Saturday, except for our very last game which will be played on a Wednesday October 23rd in Layton (plan ahead).  I posted the schedule on the link on the right of the blog.

Also, now will be a good time to start planning ahead and booking a room for the Dixie Invitational coming up at St. George. on Friday/Saturday November 29th and 30th. Some parents have already booked rooms at the Crystal Inn. Don't wait to the last minute to do this as rooms fill up quick.

Practice next week will be Tuesday, Thursday 6-7:30.  Plan on Jefferson Jr. but location may change to Diamond Ridge Elementary again (6200 S. 6000 w.).  Also, plan for a Saturday morning practice as well.  In order to compete we have to start squeezing in that third practice to keep our endurance high, passes crisp, and shots hard.

Rage! We are scrimmaging Avalanche U11 girls team at Storm Park at 8am this Saturday 11400 south and 10th east.  Wear all red.

 

Also the Sparta Cup schedule is out and there is a posted a link on the right of this blog. The tournament is at the West Jordan Soccer Complex (4000 West 8000 South) All our games are played on field K-S and arecurrently scheduled for the following times:

August 8 at 5:00 pm

If you haven't paid yet please send the money with your son to practice today or Saturday.  The cost is $35 per player. 

 

Also, Sparta is offering discount tickets to the Real Salt Lake vs. Houston Dynamo game on 8/10 as detailed below.  If you are interested send $15 per ticket with your player to practice and I will be placing an order this Saturday.

Lastly, make sure each of your  players bring a size 4 ball to practice "every" time it's hard to do a lot of the drills I would like to when they come unprepared.

Congratulations to Kevin, Aidan (Ginger), Wes, Ryker, Torin, Caleb, Antonio, and Garrett for their hard work this week in completing 10 hours of training at the Coerver Camp!  Way to go guys, this will only make the team better.

A reminder to everyone that tomorrow Saturday is the AGM Razzia BBQ at 11:30 a.m. at Pleasant Green Park, which is 3270 s. 8400 w.  Bring a dessert or side dish to share but there will be a bunch of raffled prizes (Good stuff from Real Salt Lake and Razzia).  The tickets should have already been handed out by Bill and Jeri.  You need to be present to win.  They will have burgers, hotdogs, and refreshments.

Coerver Training this week!

So the link on the right now works to register online for Razzia Coerver Training just make sure you select the right camp (Razzia) when you register.  In the event you can't register online, don't worry you can show up a little early and register at the location of the event which is Calvin Elementary School (just down 6200 south, one block east of Bennion).  A parent has to be there to sign the release form.  Again, it's $80 and it goes all week Monday thru Friday 5 to 7 p.m.  See you there, thanks!

Coerver training next week, no regular practice!

Great job at the Impact Tournament! As coaches we learned a lot from it and are now able to make those adjustments to maximize this team's potential.  Thank you parents for adjusting your schedules to make this work. This next week there will be no practice as the Razzia Coerver Training week is going on.  I highly recommend this camp for those of you that are still debating on whether or not it's for your player.  As you can see in this tournament, the higher levels of play are more intense, skillful, and fast.  What better way than to start off the season ahead of the game and better trained.  If you had problems with the website just show up 15 minutes prior to their scheduled time of 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with an $80 check and take care of it.  This training is Monday through Friday next week.  

This camp will teach more complicated dribbling moves and swiftly puts players into competitive environments with an emphasis on 1v1 and 2v2 play each day. Small group and team tactics are also taught during the week. The importance of fast transition play is stressed and players are encouraged to play creatively and freely and use their new skills in games. Players are also put in many situations requiring decision-making as that is the key ingredient to advanced play. In addition, all players will be trained in:

Shooting with Pressure

Individual and Team Defending

Individual and Team Attacking

Team Possession

Speed Training

Each player will receive a camp T-shirt and a Certificate of Achievement

Impact Tournament and practice update!

So I goofed on my last post and wanted to clarify that there will be no practice this Thursday July 4th! Have a great time watching the fireworks, but don't start any fires.

Also, Coach Justin is using $100 of the team funds to reduce the cost of the Impact Tournament for everyone so the new cost per player will be $33!!  Awesome!  If you overpaid Bill or Jeri will refund you the difference.  If you haven't paid yet get them the $$ as soon as you can.  Thanks again.

Impact Tournament and more!

Looks like there's 12 confirmed players for the Impact United Tournament!  This will bring down the cost to $40 per player so make sure Geri our team Manager gets that from you soon.    The Tournament starts next Wednesday July 10th and goes through Saturday the 13th!  Tournament schedules will be available by July 5th!

The following week starting on July 15th through the July 19th Rob Karas is having the Razzia/Coerver Camp.  This is highly recommended to polish up our player's skills.  They have good coaches already, but Rob trains professionals and is great with kids.  Again, the cost for this camp is $80.  Our group will train from 5 to 7 p.m. at Calvin Smith Elementary (just down the road from Bennion Jr High) Monday through Friday. 

Anyways, this week:  Practice is Tuesday 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Jefferson Jr. High.  There is no practice this Thursday (Happy 4th of July!).  Reminder to players to bring their own size 4 ball every time.  Thanks.

COERVER/RAZZIA FC SUMMER CAMP

At Razzia, we are focused on developing each player through intense coerver training designed to increase technical ability and tactical awareness. Our goal is to teach the game through an emphasis on limiting numbers in groups and maximizing touches in training. Only then, can a strong foundation of fundamentals be built that leads to the development of a well-rounded, confident soccer player that loves the game. Practices at Thomas Jefferson Jr.

Tournament season is fast approaching and we are looking to possibly do the Impact Tournament on July 10-13 at the West Jordan Soccer Complex.  Cost will be $35 per player if all 13 of our players participate.  Deadline to register for this tournament will be June 30th.

Priority right now is to get everyone registered first, so if you have not done so please call or text Jeri Liddle at (801-870-3035) as soon as you can to get your player number and complete registration.  Thanks.

*All practices from now on will be at Jefferson Jr. High, unless specified otherwise.

Remember to "always" bring water (it's hot, don't need a heat injury), and a soccer ball to practice (size 4) as that's the one you will be playing with.  Also, make sure you guys have shin guards and cleats as well.  If your cleats are uncomfortably tight let's get some new ones on those feet.  See you at practice.

Congratulations Rage Players!

Congratulations to all our returning players!  Also Congratulations to the new additions to the team: Aiden, Carson, Torin, Luis, Max, and Encho.  It looks like we'll be playing in Division 1 which is extremely competitive.

Practices will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. starting tomorrow.  Make sure your players bring water, shin guards, and a soccer ball every time.  Like I stated, they are playing at a much higher level so I encourage no junk food at all.  You don't want to put cheap gas in a "race car" engine if you know what I mean.

We look forward to coaching them, and pushing them to their potential while still keeping the love of the game.  Be consistent in bringing them to practices as their were plenty of players that would rather be in their shoes on this team.  They worked hard and proven that they belong here so let's get the parents support and make this an outstanding year.  Thanks, see you at practice.
