We will have practice Monday and Saturday this week due to the holiday. Monday 630 to 8 scrimmage at Bennion jr. (Wear White) and Saturday 930 to 11 at Thomas Jefferson. 

Monday Scrimmage

Scrimmage tomorrow Monday at 6:30 pm vs. Ruff Ryders at Bennion Jr High.  Wear a white shirt or jersey!  Bring plenty of water.  

Saturday AGM BBQ

Congratulations to Kevin, Aidan (Ginger), Wes, Ryker, Torin, Caleb, Antonio, and Garrett for their hard work this week in completing 10 hours of training at the Coerver Camp!  Way to go guys, this will only make the team better.

A reminder to everyone that tomorrow Saturday is the AGM Razzia BBQ at 11:30 a.m. at Pleasant Green Park, which is 3270 s. 8400 w.  Bring a dessert or side dish to share but there will be a bunch of raffled prizes (Good stuff from Real Salt Lake and Razzia).  The tickets should have already been handed out by Bill and Jeri.  You need to be present to win.  They will have burgers, hotdogs, and refreshments.

Next week there will be practice on Tuesday 6-7:30 pm. at Jefferson.

Coerver Training this week!

So the link on the right now works to register online for Razzia Coerver Training just make sure you select the right camp (Razzia) when you register.  In the event you can't register online, don't worry you can show up a little early and register at the location of the event which is Calvin Elementary School (just down 6200 south, one block east of Bennion).  A parent has to be there to sign the release form.  Again, it's $80 and it goes all week Monday thru Friday 5 to 7 p.m.  See you there, thanks!

Coerver training next week, no regular practice!

Great job at the Impact Tournament! As coaches we learned a lot from it and are now able to make those adjustments to maximize this team's potential.  Thank you parents for adjusting your schedules to make this work. This next week there will be no practice as the Razzia Coerver Training week is going on.  I highly recommend this camp for those of you that are still debating on whether or not it's for your player.  As you can see in this tournament, the higher levels of play are more intense, skillful, and fast.  What better way than to start off the season ahead of the game and better trained.  If you had problems with the website just show up 15 minutes prior to their scheduled time of 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with an $80 check and take care of it.  This training is Monday through Friday next week.  

This camp will teach more complicated dribbling moves and swiftly puts players into competitive environments with an emphasis on 1v1 and 2v2 play each day. Small group and team tactics are also taught during the week. The importance of fast transition play is stressed and players are encouraged to play creatively and freely and use their new skills in games. Players are also put in many situations requiring decision-making as that is the key ingredient to advanced play. In addition, all players will be trained in:

Shooting with Pressure

Individual and Team Defending

Individual and Team Attacking

Team Possession

Speed Training

Each player will receive a camp T-shirt and a Certificate of Achievement

U8-U11 from 5-7pm

U12-U18 from 7-9pm

Also, on Saturday the Razzia AGM will be taking place which is club's BBQ and prize event.  Don't throw away those tickets Jeri handed out as they are pretty much guarantee a prize each.  The AGM is at Pleasant Green Park, (Magna Rec Center, next to the pool) at 3270 South and 8400 West.  Please bring a dessert or side dish to share.  Also, feel free to show off your Razzia attire and represent.  Unfortunately for those of you that were planning on running the 5K it has been cancelled.  Thanks again parents, for all you do.

• Friday July 12th @ 9:45 a.m. vs Impact N.S. - West Jordan Complex Field L1 - We are away team: Wear White tops/White socks.  Bring red top/red socks.

• Saturday July 13th @ 9:45 a.m.  Playoffs/Final - West Jordan Complex Field K.

Impact Tournament and practice update!

So I goofed on my last post and wanted to clarify that there will be no practice this Thursday July 4th! Have a great time watching the fireworks, but don't start any fires.

Also, Coach Justin is using $100 of the team funds to reduce the cost of the Impact Tournament for everyone so the new cost per player will be $33!!  Awesome!  If you overpaid Bill or Jeri will refund you the difference.  If you haven't paid yet get them the $$ as soon as you can.  Thanks again.

Impact Tournament and more!

Looks like there's 12 confirmed players for the Impact United Tournament!  This will bring down the cost to $40 per player so make sure Geri our team Manager gets that from you soon.    The Tournament starts next Wednesday July 10th and goes through Saturday the 13th!  Tournament schedules will be available by July 5th!

The following week starting on July 15th through the July 19th Rob Karas is having the Razzia/Coerver Camp.  This is highly recommended to polish up our player's skills.  They have good coaches already, but Rob trains professionals and is great with kids.  Again, the cost for this camp is $80.  Our group will train from 5 to 7 p.m. at Calvin Smith Elementary (just down the road from Bennion Jr High) Monday through Friday. 

Anyways, this week:  Practice is Tuesday 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Jefferson Jr. High.  There is no practice this Thursday (Happy 4th of July!).  Reminder to players to bring their own size 4 ball every time.  Thanks.
